School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is basically responsible to coordinate and administer graduate programs delivered in the University. Nowadays, four MA programs are undergoing in the University in two colleges; College of Crime Prevention and Public Security Studies and College of Leadership and Governance. The programs running in Crime Prevention and Public Safety College are Criminology and Criminal Justice System and Peace and Security Studies. Whereas Management and Governance College is running two programs namely Security Sector Management and Leadership and Change Management.
The School performs activities like preparing policies and directives to improve graduate program curricula, make follow-up on graduate programs and suggest possible solutions to the Academic Vice President, and work with domestic and international Universities to launch joint graduate programs, to mention some.
As the School is responsible for ensuring standard and quality of graduate programs it is working in collaboration with the above colleges. As a result, it is structured in to two departments; Standardization Department and Quality Enhancement and Control Department. The two departments work to scale up the graduate programs to be competent in the academic world and to achieve the EPU’s vision as well. The school is working to launch two PhD programs, namely PhD in Strategic Leadership for Security and PhD in Security Studies. These programs will be launched in 2018 E.C. (2025/26) academic year.
