PROTECT WITH COURAGE, SERVE WITH COMPASSION!

Police Tactics

The Police Tactics Department trains cadets in basic law enforcement skills. This includes self-defense, arrest techniques, and how to handle different situations safely and legally. The goal is to help recruits become confident and prepared to protect the public and themselves during police work.

Physical Fitness Training

The Physical Fitness Training Department helps cadets build strength, endurance, and overall fitness. Regular workouts, drills, and physical activities prepare recruits for the physical demands of police duties. The training also promotes discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.

Police Education

The Police Education Department provides cadets with the knowledge they need to understand the law and perform their duties. Training includes lessons on criminal law, human rights, ethics, and communication. This helps recruits become responsible, informed, and professional police officers.

Human Resource Management

The Human Resource Management Department handles the recruitment, placement, and welfare of cadets and staff. It supports career development, keeps training records, and ensures that the right people are in the right roles to help the academy run smoothly.

Procurement and Finance

The Procurement and Finance Department manages the academy’s budget and purchases. It ensures that all goods, equipment, and services needed for training and daily operations are bought properly and used wisely. The department also keeps financial records and supports transparent spending.

Health Services

The Health Services Department provides medical care and support to cadets and staff. It offers first aid, regular check-ups, and health education to keep everyone safe and healthy during training. The department also responds to emergencies and promotes overall well-being.

The Basic Police Training Academy, operating under the Office of the Vice President for Training, is composed of six key departments: Police Tactics and Physical Fitness Training, Police Education, Human Resource Management, Procurement and Finance, Health Services, and General Services, along with two operational brigades.

Its core mission is to equip new recruits with the essential knowledge, skills, values, and ethical grounding required to carry out their responsibilities as law enforcement officers. As the cornerstone of professional policing, the training ensures that cadets are legally informed, morally guided, physically capable, and committed to serving their communities with integrity and accountability.
