The Academic Vice President (AVP) is accountable to the President with responsibilities for leading, coordinating and facilitating the University’s academic affairs. It leads, coordinates and oversees responsibilities for development and management of graduate and undergraduate academic programs, continuing and distance education, teaching and learning support, staff affairs, office of the registrar, and library. The AVP provides direction in setting academic priorities, developing programs, recruiting and developing faculty, and ensuring effective policy implementation. Working closely with the President and other Vice Presidents, the AVP helps shape the University’s academic vision and strategy, supports institutional planning, guides academic units, and ensures compliance with University policies. Additional responsibilities include coordinating program reviews, fostering partnerships, promoting instructional excellence, and aligning academic initiatives with national needs to advance the University’s mission and strategic goals
